God Hears Israel’s Groaning

23 ^aDuring those many days the king of Egypt died, and the people of Israel ^bgroaned because of their slavery and cried out for help. ^cTheir cry for rescue from slavery came up to God. 24 And ^dGod heard their groaning, and God ^eremembered his covenant with ^fAbraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

Psalms 12:5

5 “Because ^gthe poor are plundered, because the needy groan,
^hI will now arise,” says the Lord;
“I will place him in the ⁱsafety for which he longs.”

33 For the Lord hears the needy
